Take a white boat ride at Dunvegan Castle
Dunvegan
Castle on the Isle of Skye is one of Scotland’s most
iconic sights.
It has been the stronghold of the Chiefs of MacLeod for nearly
eight centuries and was the scene of countless clan battles. The
oldest continuously inhabited castle in the country, Dunvegan
enjoys a fabulous loch-side setting.
Set off from the pier on a magical white boat ride to see the
seal colony, or savour a romantic cruise against the dramatic
castle backdrop.
The castle itself holds clan treasures like the Fairy Flag while
the beautiful formal gardens are also worth exploring. Sir Walter
Scott paid a visit to Dunvegan Castle in his day and the sheer
impressiveness of this grand piece of Highland history is
undiminished.
