Scotland’s oldest inhabited residence, Traquair
House. Originally used to produce ale for the house
and estate workers, the brewery lay unused for over 160 years.
Today you can visit the brewery and learn more about the
traditional beer-making methods used to produce the four bottled
ales sold at Traquair.
From the old to the exciting future of

ales. Established in 2007 in Aberdeenshire by two 24 year-olds,
BrewDog is now Scotland’s largest independent brewery. It is
renowned in the pub scene for its innovative beers that give a
modern twist to traditional real ales.
Their quirky names reflect their unique
characters - you can enjoy a pint of Trashy Blonde, Tactical
Nuclear Penguin or their famous Punk IPA in one of their
bespoke bars in
Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and in pubs
