The Seafood Trail caters for all seafood aficionados. Sample the freshest of platters, laden with world-class shellfish as you enjoy breathtaking views of the Scotland's unspoiled coastline - this is a culinary treat not to be missed.

Seafood Trail restaurants:

Cairnbaan Hotel - A delightful and stylish place attracting foreign and domestic tourists all year round, offering a  relaxed dining experience. Local seafood is always available, from a simple bowl of huge mussels or a pint of prawns, to Lobster Thermidor.

Creggans Inn (EatScotland accredited) - This historic country house overlooking Loch Fyne offers awardwinning food, an enthusiast’s wine list and stylish, individually furnished rooms. Using the best produce from the local area, this is a welcome relaxing spot to enjoy your surroundings for a few days.

Dunvalanree (EatScotland Silver accredited) - Everything is homemade on the menu and the results speak for themselves! Enjoy smoked mussels cooked in garlic with bacon lardons followed by scallops cooked in white wine and a smidgeon of chilli.

Inver Cottage - A welcoming restored croft situated on the beautiful shores of Lachlan Bay, Loch Fyne. Inver Cottage uses the very best local ingredients in a fresh and imaginative way, serving delicious food in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Try the fresh Loch Fyne langoustines.

Loch Fyne Oyster Bar (EatScotland accredited) - The menu includes shellfish and smoked fish along with white fish dishes. The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and Shop started in a small shed in the lay-by at the head of Loch Fyne in the early 80's. In 1985 it moved into the old cow byre at Clachan Farm and has appeared in the Good Food Guide ever since.

Pierhouse Hotel (EatScotland Silver accredited) - Perched on the shores of Loch Linnhe with breathtaking views to the islands of Lismore and Mull, this intimate hotel, bar and restaurant has won a fast-growing reputation as one of Argyll's most idyllic and romantic destinations.

Royal An Lochan - Once voted one of the top 100 hotels in the world by Harpers and Queen magazine, An Lochan (Gaelic for 'on the small loch') overlooks the Kyles of Bute. With hand-dived scallops and early morning ventures for fresh produce, this is a family run oasis which offers top notch pampering.

The Seafood Cabin (EatScotland accredited) - With spectacular views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran, the Seafood Cabin is a waterside gem. Local fishermen supply fresh crab throughout the summer, and the langoustines are served simply with a fresh herb dip. Smoked products come across in a boat from a smokery on Arran - trout and salmon are particular favourites.
